Martin Skrtel couldn't hide his disappointment at Liverpool's FA Cup exit at the hands of Arsenal on Sunday – though he remains confident they can still achieve their targets in the Barclays Premier League over the remainder of the season.

The Reds were eliminated from the tournament after a 2-1 defeat at the Emirates; however, the visitors could consider themselves unfortunate to have been beaten after a dominant display.

Nonetheless, Brendan Rodgers' men must now focus on their final 12 games of the league campaign - and Skrtel insists confidence is still high.

He told his official website: "We were really unlucky and I'm disappointed.

"I think we played really well and maybe we could say we were even better, but the result is all that counts.

"We had some really good chances to score but we didn't convert them and this is the result.

"Now we must be fully focused on the Premier League and I really hope we can do something very positive there."
