Liverpool Football Club has had its fair share of legendary figures throughout their illustrious history, with such names as Shankly, Paisley and Dalglish rolling off the tongue as effortlessly as a Luis Suarez nutmeg.

There is, however, one man who rarely gets listed among the plethora of Liverpool legends, but his contribution is arguably just as significant as the aforementioned trio.

Phil Thompson has recently described him as 'one of the most important men the football club has ever had' and there will be very few who will disagree when describing the contribution of Ronnie 'Bugsy' Moran.

Moran gave the club 49 years of his life and was a key cog in the various management teams that accrued some 11 league titles, 4 FA Cups and 4 European Cups.

Today, Moran celebrates his 80th birthday, and tonight LFC TV will pay a unique tribute to the bootroom legend by tracing his contribution to the trophy-laden decades he spent at Anfield.
