Simon Mignolet and Iago Aspas attended a Liverpool FC Foundation football session for the visually impaired on Thursday night to have a kick about with its local stars and lend their support to Standard Chartered's 'Seeing is Believing' initiative.

Mignolet and Aspas met with a group of youngsters enjoying their weekly multi-sport session at the Royal School for the Blind and joined in with some of their fun filled activities; including a beach ball challenge and penalty shoot-out.

Liverpool FC Foundation's Repect4All programme delivers free impairment specific multi-sport classes four nights a week during school term time to children and adults with severe learning difficulties, visual and physical impairment (ambulant) and wheelchair users.

For this special session, the Foundation teamed up with Seeing is Believing, Standard Chartered's global charitable initiative that aims to tackle avoidable blindness in partnership with the International Agency for Prevention of Blindness (IAPB).

Mignolet, said: "It was an honour to meet with the Respect4All programme youngsters and staff at the school, and be able to show my support. Their commitment and enthusiasm is inspirational and it's great to watch them all having fun and enjoying football.

"Seeing is Believing is a fantastic initiative and something which both Iago and I are proud to lend our support to."

Mark Haig, Liverpool FC Foundation's head of operations, added: "Our Respect4All programme offers tailored sessions with specialist coaches to more than 60 children and adults across Liverpool and the Wirral every week."

On Sunday March 30, Standard Chartered will swap their logo on the team's shirts for the Seeing is Believing logo to raise funds and awareness.
