A song written in memory of Hillsborough campaigner Anne Williams was today released ahead of the 25th anniversary of the disaster.

Anne, whose son Kevin was one of the 96 supporters who lost their lives at the tragedy in April 1989, lost her brave battle with cancer last year.

'The Angel', produced and written by 17-year-old Kirkdale singer-songwriter, Dominic Dunn, was originally played at a charity event in honour of Anne.

Such was the positivity towards the track from the Williams family, the song was recorded at Parr Street Studios before Christmas and is now available to download.

Dominic said: "Anne's family told me they really liked it, so as long as they're satisfied that's all that matters to me.

"I'm so proud to have been asked to do it and I am just delighted to be associated with such an inspirational and respected figure within the city."

All proceeds from the single will go to Anne's 'For Justice' charity. You can download the track from iTunes by clicking here.
