Liverpool Football Club has announced its season ticket prices for the 2014-15 season with kids continuing to be the priority.

There are price freezes for junior and disabled season ticket holders, and junior season ticket holders in all parts of the ground will only have to pay the junior price from next season, saving around £500 - £600 per season ticket.

LFC managing director, Ian Ayre, said: "Young people continue to be a priority for the club and following the introduction of the £5 junior match day ticket last season, all junior season tickets have been reduced to £200, regardless of where they sit in the stadium.

"Every year, the club gives careful consideration to season ticket prices and pricing structures in consultation with the Supporters' Committee. We discussed these prices in full dialogue with the Supporters' Committee to ensure we understood the views of our loyal fans and the areas that were important to them.

"We have continued with our policy of stretching pricing so our cheapest season tickets are held at the 2013-14 rate, which follows a reduction last summer.

"We will also be introducing a new young adult price band for all home cup games during next season, giving more opportunities for our younger fans to come to Anfield."

Following the introduction of the six-tier ticket structure last season to allow more accurate ticket pricing according to seat, location and view, some adult season tickets prices have been frozen for next season while others have increased on average by 1.9 per cent, which is in line with the lowest rate of inflation.

The official Liverpool FC Supporters' Committee, who represent the club's global fan base, has been in consultation with the club regarding season ticket prices.

"We met with club officials last month to discuss the feedback we had received from supporters," said Bob Humphries, chair of the Supporters' Committee.

"Although this isn't everything that we would like, it does appear that the club is listening and has implemented several of our recommendations with regard to disabled, junior and child season tickets."
