Mamadou Sakho and Martin Skrtel were solid at the back as Liverpool battled their way to three more points against West Ham United on Sunday - and we've got the stats to prove it.

Together, the duo helped subdue the attacking threat of former Red, Andy Carroll, and keep the Hammers at bay as Brendan Rodgers' side clinched a crucial 2-1 win in the capital.

Sakho made two successful challenges during the 90 minutes and executed eight clearances, while Skrtel helped clear the danger on no less than 12 occasions.

The two centre-backs also showed they could play the ball out from the back. Throughout the match, Sakho took 81 touches of the ball - only Jordan Henderson and Steven Gerrard registered more.

The Frenchman hit 71 passes, with a completion rate of 95.8 per cent, which was higher than any other player on the park. Meanwhile, Skrtel took 76 touches, hitting 58 passes with 93.1 per cent accuracy.
