Hillsborough: A national tragedy
Today the city of Liverpool will pay its respects to mark the 25th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster – and they will be joined in remembrance across the world.
The tragedy impacted not only Merseyside, but the rest of the United Kingdom as supporters journeyed from all over the country for that FA Cup semi-final.
The graphic below shows where each of the 96 men, women and children who lost their lives on that fateful day travelled from on the morning of April 15, 1989.
