The 'Celebration of the 96' event
The 'Celebration of the 96' charity match, on Monday, April 21, is set to be an action-packed day out for the whole family.
We advise those of you that have tickets for the match on Easter Monday to arrive early at Anfield, as there are a series of activities at the Family Park, as well as on-pitch entertainment prior to kick-off.
The pre-match events commence at 10am at the Family Park, where fans will be able to enjoy entertainment acts such as a football freestyler, music from a local band, as well as LFC's very own Mighty Red.
There will also be an Easter egg hunt, as well as face painting available for kids.
The stadium turnstiles open at 11.45am, ahead of the pre-match entertainment due to start at midday. Fans can see a host of acts including a 50-strong samba band, a dance troop, a football freestyler as well as free-runners.
Further on-pitch entertainment acts will include a Liverpool FC Foundation football skills session, featuring a number of the Liverpool first team, as well as over 60 kids from the Foundation's various programmes. Mighty Red, Academy and Ladies players as well as a number of celebrity fans will be joining in on the session too.
At the end of the Foundation on-pitch session, the first-team players will then be pitchside, where they will participate in a Q&A with 10 lucky competition winners.
Some of the club's greatest ever stars will grace Anfield's hallowed turf throughout the day, including Luis Garcia and Sami Hyypia, and a number of past players, who will not be taking part in the game itself, but will unite themselves with the crowd via a pre-game lap of honour.
The game will kick off at 2pm BST and fans will be treated at half-time to a celebrity penalty shoot-out with John Bishop, Russell Howard, Clare Balding and Colin Murray all taking on Mighty Red, who will be between the posts.
At full-time, Hillsborough Family Support Group chairman Margaret Aspinall will present the trophy to the winning team, which will be followed by some closing words at around 4pm.
Please note that normal matchday parking will apply.
