Moses visits children at education centre
Reds forward Victor Moses joined local school children on Wednesday to take part in a classroom session at the Liverpool FC Foundation's education centre, Reducate.
The on-loan attacker met with a group of year six children from All Saints Catholic Primary School in Anfield, who visit Reducate on a regular basis as part of the Foundation's 'On the Ball' programme.
The programme offers support with sports coaching, attendance, reading and curriculum linked skills.
The 23-year-old Nigerian international took part in the football-themed session, which included: a computer-based 'celebration and winners' themed activity, which focused on FIFA World Cup countries and how they celebrate special days in their history; a celebration of winners of recent sports events team activity, short literacy and numeracy tasks; and a football-inspired quiz.
Moses said: "I really enjoyed my visit to the Reducate centre today and joining in with the kids. The centre is a fun, friendly, exciting place for the children to learn."
Reducate offers a wide variety of subjects including national curriculum such as Maths, English and History as well as support with GCSE and A-Level coursework.
It also runs a number of Liverpool FC Foundation projects from the centre, including the LFC Youth Ambassadors and the 'On the Ball' programme.
Mark Haig, head of operations at the Liverpool FC Foundation, said: "For more than 15 years, Reducate has provided inspiring and motivational educational opportunities to people of all ages.
"To date, more than 35,000 students have visited the centre from schools across the city region and beyond, including Thailand, USA, Indonesia and Switzerland.
"The focus of the centre is to make learning fun and enjoyable and use the power of the Liverpool Football Club badge to engage with as many young people as possible."
