Twitter: The media and players respond
Liverpool FC can look back at the 2013-14 season with great pride.
Brendan Rodgers' side have certainly surpassed pre-season expectations - where not only did they bring Champions League football back to Anfield, but took the title race to the final day of the season.
The Anfield crowd were fantastic afternoon and gave the Liverpool squad a rapturous reception in the post-game lap of honour.
Brendan Rodgers said before the game that regardless of how the season ends he will look back with will 'pride' and it's clear that his sentiments are shared by Liverpool fans and the football fraternity as a whole.
Liverpool has had a fantastic season to say the least and the return of Champions League football is a welcome consolation to missing out on the title.
While the LFC fans at Anfield gave Brendan Rodgers and the squad a wonderful reception, the twitter-sphere has taken time to reflect on what has been a tremendous 2013-14 season.
Below is a collation of tweets reflecting on what has been a fantastic campaign from Liverpool Football Club.
