'World Stars' spotlight turns to Villa
As we edge closer to next month's eagerly anticipated FIFA World Cup in Brazil, LFC TV will continue to examine the tournament's potential key performers in our 'World Stars' series.
A compilation of 20 episodes, 'World Stars' brings viewers exclusive interviews and match footage of players who are being tipped to light up this summer's four-week-long footballing festival.
Each programme focuses on a different individual, drawing on their experiences and incorporating the views of their colleagues to reveal their drives and determinations.
We began with Liverpool's Steven Gerrard, Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge - before broadening the horizons to stars like Andres Iniesta, Oscar and Lionel Messi.
Today it's the turn of Spain's all-time goalscorer, David Villa, to take centre stage, with kind words from former Red Xabi Alonso to accompany his career profile.
On Spain's prospects for the forthcoming World Cup, Villa said: "We have the potential to have a good World Cup. We have the ability to reach the final, and win it.
"But is important is that the team benefits from whatever system we play and those are the options available to the manager.
"You don't have to play the same way throughout a tournament, you can change your style and that's what is so impressive about this group."
The episode will premiere on LFCTV at 8pm BST tonight and will be repeated later at 10.30pm BST, but LFCTV GO subscribers can enjoy priority access now by clicking play below. If you have not already signed up, click here to join now.
