'We'll benefit from England's journey'
Liverpool will reap the benefits of their English contingent's World Cup experiences this summer, believes Simon Mignolet.
The Reds are represented in the Three Lions squad by Steven Gerrard, Raheem Sterling, Jordan Henderson, Daniel Sturridge, Glen Johnson and Rickie Lambert, while Jon Flanagan recently made his senior international bow in a pre-tournament warm-up game against Ecuador.
"It can only be a good thing for Liverpool to have so many players included in the squad, and Jon Flanagan also picked up his first cap for England in a preparation game," said Mignolet, who is in Brazil with his native Belgium.
"Those experiences for the players - and the young players especially - are very important, not only for England but also for Liverpool."
England kick off their World Cup campaign against Italy on Saturday night, and Mignolet is tipping them to enjoy a fine tournament.
"[They can go] really far to be honest with you," he said. "Nobody is speaking too much about them, so they can prepare themselves [without any pressure].
"If they can get through the first stage then I'm sure they can build momentum and gain confidence.
"Then they've got the individual players of quality. They can go very far in this World Cup."
