Sakho's France march on
Mamadou Sakho remained on the bench as France booked their place in the quarter-finals of the World Cup after a 2-0 win over Nigeria on Monday.
Former Red Victor Moses played the full 90 minutes for Nigeria, but it was a late header from midfielder Paul Pogba that sealed a place in the last eight for Les Bleus.

Nigeria had a goal controversially disallowed for offside in the first half when Emmanuel Emenike turned the ball home, only to see it ruled out. Television replays later suggested it was marginally onside.
Didier Deschamps' side always looked the most likely to make a breakthrough in the second period with Karim Benzema a constant threat.
Moses cleared off the line from Benzema and former Newcastle midfielder Yohan Cabaye crashed a spectacular fierce drive against the bar.
The breakthrough arrived 11 minutes from time. Nigeria goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama was in no man's land from a corner and when he missed the ball, Pogba headed into the net.
Then in stoppage time France made it 2-0 when former Everton defender Joseph Yobo deflected an Antoine Griezmann effort into his own net.
Sakho and co will now meet Germany or Algeria in the quarter-final tie on Friday evening.
