Liverpool U18s will start the 2014-15 season with a trip to Stoke City on Saturday, August 16.

The game will kick-off at 11am BST at Clayton Wood training ground. The first home game of the new campaign for Neil Critchley's charges will see Derby County visit Kirkby on Saturday, August 23.

The new format for the 2014-15 season will see play-off matches against southern based teams start in February.

In total, 24 clubs compete in the Barclays U18 Premier League, with each of the clubs having applied for Category One status. There are 15 clubs from the Barclays Premier League and nine clubs from the Skybet Championship.

The 24 clubs are split into two regional groups, north and south. Clubs will play each opposing club in their own regional group twice, both home and away.

The champions and other final positions will be determined via a play-off which will start in mid February.
