Give Raheem and Rossiter your vote
Liverpool duo Jordan Rossiter and Raheem Sterling are each in contention to scoop an honour at November's MBNA Northwest Football Awards 2014 – and now need your votes to claim an accolade.
Fresh from a breakthrough 2013-14 campaign in which he notched 10 times in all competitions, the latter has been nominated for a prize won by Jamie Carragher last year, Premier League Player of the Year.
Sterling's selection in the prestigious category recognises his contribution to the Reds' second-place finish and his impressive showing with England at the World Cup in Brazil during the summer.
The 19-year-old faces strong competition for the award from Everton defender Seamus Coleman, Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure and Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.
Promising Academy talent Rossiter, meanwhile, is in contention to emulate club colleague Jerome Sinclair, who was named Rising Star of the Year when the event was last held in 2013.
The tough-tackling Scouser, still just 17, is a regular for Liverpool's U21s team and was twice included among the substitutes for a senior fixture by Brendan Rodgers last season before making a scoring debut against Middlesbrough in the Capital One Cup third-round tie.
Barclays Premier League rivals are represented in the category by Everton's Ross Barkley, Marcos Lopes of Manchester City and Manchester United's James Wilson, with numerous lower-league contenders selected too.
