Get your wristband to Istanbul film premiere
Liverpool FC and Stray Dogs Films are releasing 'One Night in Istanbul' this Thursday – and you can be one of the 100 lucky fans to be a part of the welcoming crowd as celebrities and legends arrive at Wednesday's premiere.
The global premiere will take place at the Liverpool One ODEON cinema and 100 fans, including 20 wheelchair users and an assistant each, are being offered the chance to be a part of the official welcoming crowd in the designated Fan Zones in front of the complex.
Supporters wishing to attend the premiere are being invited to collect the official wristbands, which will grant access into the Fan Zones, on Tuesday September 9 from the official Liverpool FC store at Liverpool One.
Wristbands are available on a first-come first-served basis and people who require disabled access can reserve wristbands by contacting the Liverpool FC store at Liverpool One. Terms and Conditions apply.
Supported by fans and players alike, and taking as its backdrop the gripping 2005 Champions League final, the film is due to be released across a number of ODEON cinemas from September 11. This will be a unique chance to relive memories of that legendary night in Turkey.
Based on the original hit stage play by Nicky Alt, the film follows two down-on-their-luck Liverpool cabbies, Tommy and Gerry, who strike an unusual deal with a local gangster to take their sons on a trip of a lifetime, to watch their beloved team play in the Champions League final in Istanbul. However, big trouble awaits them, in the form of two ruthless crooks and a huge bag of stolen cash. It's not long before the pressure on the pitch is almost as heated as the action off it.
Featuring a host of well-loved acting talent, including Paul Barber (The Full Monty, Only Fools and Horses), Samantha Womack (Eastenders, Game On), Steven Waddington (Sleepy Hollow, The Parole Officer) and Lucien Laviscount (Waterloo Road, Grange Hill), 'One Night in Istanbul' will appeal not only to Reds fans from across the globe but to anyone who enjoys a good comedy.
Tickets to see the film can be pre-ordered now at any of the following ODEON cinemas: Liverpool One; Liverpool Switch Island; Warrington; Bromborough; Wrexham; Broadway Plaza, Birmingham; Glasgow Quay; Red Dragon Centre, Cardiff; Panton Street, London; Victoria Square, Belfast; Point Village, Dublin.
