Young Reds edged out by Middlesbrough
It was a frustrating afternoon for Liverpool U18s as they lost 3-2 away at Middlesbrough on Saturday.
Will Marsh netted twice for Neil Critchley's side but the home side sealed the victory with 10 minutes remaining.
On a positive note Spanish midfielder Pedro Chirivella played his first game of the season after returning from injury.
"It was a bad day for us and we just didn't get going right from conceding a goal in the opening minute," Critchley told Liverpoolfc.com.
"There was too much poor play from us and our decision making wasn't as good as we expect. We were poor."
