Learn to be a hero with new campaign
St John Ambulance is encouraging football supporters across the country to learn how to potentially become a first aid hero with a new tongue-in-cheek, but important, video aimed at fans.
The organisation's crucial volunteers have been a fixture of matchdays for more than a century and now the nation's leading charity of its kind wants followers to learn to be life-savers.
'Celebrate Like a Hero', St John Ambulance's campaign film, was released earlier this month to raise awareness of scenarios where an individual could impact on a life-or-death situation.
The video will be broadcast to supporters at Barclays Premier League and Football League matches for the rest of September, and can be watched by clicking play on the clip below.
In support of the initiative, Liverpool are among the clubs who will include the relevant life-saving advice in matchday programmes and encourage fans to download the charity's free first aid app.
