Liverpool have been drawn to play Swansea City at Anfield in the fourth round of the Capital One Cup.

The Reds will welcome Brendan Rodgers' former club to Merseyside in the week commencing October 27.

The teams have gone head to head twice before in League Cup history, with the last meeting coming in October 2012 when Swansea recorded a 3-1 win in front of the Kop en route to lifting the trophy.

The other encounter was back in September 1968 when goals from Chris Lawler and Roger Hunt gave Liverpool a 2-0 victory.

Of course, Swansea's last visit to Anfield in all competitions produced an enthralling Premier League game back in February, which the Reds edged 4-3.

The Swans have progressed to round four of the tournament by eliminating Rotherham and Everton at the Liberty Stadium.

Liverpool, meanwhile, saw off Middlesbrough in an epic penalty shootout on Tuesday night, winning 14-13 after the clash had ended 2-2.
