Former Liverpool players Peter Crouch and Ronnie Whelan have each been nominated in a special online UEFA poll to find the top 10 goals scored during the organisation's 60-year history.

To mark the anniversary of the body's formation in 1954, 60 goals in UEFA tournaments from across the past six decades have been selected - and fans can decide the final order by voting for their favourite.

Alongside the likes of Marco Van Basten and Zinedine Zidane in a treasure trove of glorious strikes from yesteryear, you can find two ex-Reds and both laying a serious claim too.

Included, of course, is Crouch's outrageous acrobatics to volley home Steve Finnan's cross in front of the Kop during a Champions League tie against Galatasaray in September 2006.

Perhaps the striker had taken inspiration from Whelan, who is also in contention for a wondrous hit for the Republic of Ireland in their European Championship campaign of 1988.

Click here to relive the goals and cast your vote now, with the closing date set for November 25.
