Brendan Rodgers was running his players through the necessary work to head to St James' Park with a view to following up Tuesday's victory over Swansea City with a Barclays Premier League win.
In addition to the manager's drills and exercises at the training base, there was also time for a quick, light-hearted session of heads and volleys, also overseen carefully by the Northern Irishman.
