Since the inception of the Barclays Premier League, Liverpool have won 17 and Chelsea 18 of the 44 meetings between the clubs. The Reds have scored 51 goals - four fewer than the Londoners.

At Anfield, Liverpool have won 13, drawn four and lost five Premier League clashes with the Blues. The Reds have won six of the last 12 league meetings home and away and have lost four of the last 15.

LFC have not kept a clean sheet in the last six league clashes with today's visitors. Liverpool's biggest league victory over Chelsea here came in April 1935 when they won 6-0.

There has only ever been one goalless draw between the sides in the league on this ground in 71 league meetings. It came in October 1971.

The Reds have failed to score in only three of the last 34 home league meetings with Chelsea. Liverpool have never failed to score in two successive home league games against the Blues.

Patrik Berger scored Liverpool's last hat-trick against Chelsea at Anfield in October 1997 in a 4-2 win. He is one of four Liverpool hat-trick scorers in the league against the Londoners. The others were James Stewart in 1910, Fred Pagnam in 1915 and Gordon Hodgson in 1930.

Kolo Toure's first goal in English football came against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in a 1-1 draw while with Arsenal in September 2002.

Steven Gerrard has scored one goal for Liverpool against Chelsea in 36 appearances. His strike in October 2005 came in a 4-1 defeat at Anfield.

Jordan Henderson played his first game in senior football against Chelsea six years ago last week as a Sunderland player. Rickie Lambert scored for Southampton in both league meetings against Chelsea in the 2012-13 season.

Glen Johnson scored a winner for Liverpool against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in November 2011 - a game in which Daniel Sturridge had equalised for the home team. Johnson played 72 times for Chelsea in all competitions, scoring four times. He made his debut for the Londoners at Anfield in August 2003. 

Javier Manquillo, Thibaut Courtois, and Diego Costa were all teammates at Atletico Madrid last season. 

Simon Mignolet, Dejan Lovren and Steven Gerrard have played in every minute of every Liverpool Premier League game this season.

Chelsea are the only top-flight team unbeaten in the league this season. Their last defeat came at home to Sunderland back in April - 13 games without defeat since then.

They are unbeaten in the last eight away league games recording six wins and two draws. The two draws have  come this season in Manchester. Chelsea have scored 26 goals in 10 league games this season - more than any other Premier League side.

Seven Chelsea players have started every league game so far this season - Courtois, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Matic, Fabregas and Hazard.

Diego Costa has scored nine goals in eight league games this season with seven of those coming in the opening four games, including a 22-minute hat-trick against Swansea.
