Brendan Rodgers has made four changes to his Liverpool line-up for today's Barclays Premier League clash against Crystal Palace – with Rickie Lambert to lead the attack at Selhurst Park.

The No.9 is selected for his second start of the season in the division, spearheading the Reds' forward line as they seek to bounce back from three consecutive defeats before the international break.

Elsewhere, Javier Manquillo is introduced to the defence in place of compatriot Alberto Moreno, while Joe Allen and Adam Lallana are named in midfield.

Mario Balotelli is sidelined with a groin injury, while Emre Can and Jordan Henderson - through illness - are the others to drop out from the XI that began the loss to Chelsea last time out.

Liverpool XI: Mignolet, Manquillo, Johnson, Skrtel, Lovren, Gerrard, Allen, Lallana, Coutinho, Sterling, Lambert.

Substitutes: Jones, Toure, Moreno, Lucas, Can, Borini, Markovic.
