Raheem: I'm confident results will arrive
Raheem Sterling has spoken of his belief that Liverpool can return to winning ways in the near future after the Reds halted a run of four straight defeats against Ludogorets Razgrad on Wednesday night.
Sterling and his teammates were determined to claim a victory in their penultimate Champions League Group B fixture in Sofia - and the team went within touching distance of clinching three points in the tie.
Rickie Lambert cancelled out Dani Alabo's early opener before Sterling took charge of the play and sent a curling, precise pass into the corridor of space behind Ludogorets' defence for Henderson to make it 2-1.
However, Brendan Rodgers' charges were denied a first win since October 28 when Georgi Terziev manoeuvred into space in the penalty area to drive a header beyond Simon Mignolet and seal a draw with minutes remaining.
The result means Liverpool can still qualify for the knockout stages of the tournament if they triumph over FC Basel in December - and Sterling is confident the team can produce in what will be a showpiece finale at Anfield.
"Obviously we're disappointed to not come away with the win," Sterling told UEFA.com following the final whistle in Bulgaria. "But we've got Basel at home now and it's a good chance to go out there and play our football again.
"The key for us is to keep on playing the football that we know we can play and the results will come. In a game like this, in the last few minutes, the key is to hold on for the three points, so we're obviously disappointed in the camp.
"We want to qualify for the next round and I think we're still in a good position. We'll go into the game full of energy and promise knowing that if we win, we can qualify."
