Balotelli unavailable for Stoke City visit
Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that Liverpool forward Mario Balotelli will not be available for selection when Stoke City visit Anfield in the Barclays Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The Italian missed both of the Reds' away matches, at Crystal Palace and Ludogorets Razgrad, during the past week due to a groin injury he picked up when on international duty.
He will be absent again tomorrow too, the manager revealed at his pre-match press conference, as Rodgers' charges seek a return to winning ways with a 3pm GMT kick-off on home soil.
"Not yet, no," said the Northern Irishman when asked if Balotelli could feature against the Potters. "We'll have the same squad as the other night."
