Liverpool FC Academy and Ladies players joined two club legends at the Liverpool Disabled Supporters Association's Christmas gala dinner on Thursday night.

Jerome Sinclair and Sheyi Ojo from the Academy, Ashley Hodson and Katie Zelem from the Ladies' side were alongside Roy Evans and Alan Kennedy for the dinner, which took place in the Reds Lounge at Anfield.

The LDSA, which has more than 200 members, is one of the largest football disabled supporters associations in the world with members from as far afield as Canada, the USA and Lithuania.

Former boss, Evans, who is the current LDSA president, welcomed more than 150 of the group's members to the annual dinner, and thanked them for their continued support of the club.

He said: "I was honoured to take up the role of president last year on the 10th anniversary of the LDSA. The association's commitment to creating positive changes for the club's disabled fanbase is exemplary and something which I am proud to be a part of.

"At the end of the season I will hand over the role of president to Robbie Fowler, who I know will give the support and commitment needed to drive the LDSA's continued success."

After Roy's welcome, members had the opportunity to gain autographs and have their picture taken with the Liverpool players and legends. This was followed by a three-course dinner, a raffle with some fantastic LFC gifts and a disco.

Some of the LDSA's key achievements this year include; installation of a new Changing Places facility in collaboration with the club and the Liverpool's Supporters' Committee, and consultation with the club regarding the main stand expansion.
