The Goldsands Stadium witnessed a man of the match display by Liverpool forward Raheem Sterling on Wednesday, making him the stand-out choice for our LFCCTV feature.

Selected once more in a central striking position, the No.31 was a constant menace to Bournemouth with his intelligent movement, searing pace and composed touch under pressure.

Midway through the first half of the Capital One Cup last eight tie against the Championship side, the 20-year-old pounced on a chance inside the area to head beyond the goalkeeper for 1-0.

The second period was only six minutes old when Sterling further extended the Reds' advantage to three by collecting Adam Lallana's tee-up, dribbling into room and clipping into the net.

His goals were purely the highlights of a mature and decisive performance, which can be watched more closely by LFCTV GO subscribers in the embedded video below. Click here to sign up.
