Supporters attending Liverpool's clash with Arsenal at Anfield this Sunday, December 21, may notice some changes as work is underway to expand the Main Stand.

Carillion, who began on site last week, are currently preparing the way for construction, which will begin in the New Year.

In order to ensure that the expansion works can be carried out safely, new hoardings have been erected in the Main Stand car park.

The hoardings will remain in place while work continues to expand the stadium, which will be completed during the 2016-17 season.

The new hoardings will mean a different look for the car park, although access to the Main Stand will remain unchanged.

The expansion will add around 8,500 more seats, taking the Main Stand capacity to over 20,000 and the overall Anfield capacity to around 54,000.

Fans are advised to plan their route to the stadium in advance and to allow extra time for their journey. For key information and a map, click here.
