Balotelli set to return at Burnley
Brendan Rodgers has confirmed Mario Balotelli will be available for Liverpool's Boxing Day trip to Burnley.
Injuries and a one-match suspension have meant the Italy striker has figured just once for the Reds since November 8.
However, Balotelli is in contention to return at Turf Moor on Friday afternoon.
Rodgers told his pre-match press conference: "[Mario] becomes available, but there's no-one else [back] - Joe Allen, Glen Johnson and Jon Flanagan are still out.
"The most important thing is Mario is available after his ban. It adds another player to our squad and another player who is available, especially with Fabio Borini unavailable [due to suspension]."
