Four players from Liverpool's U21s team made a special Christmas visit to Claire House Children's Hospice yesterday and left a lasting impression on one young Kopite in particular.

Cameron Brannagan, Joe Maguire, Connor Randall and Daniel Trickett-Smith were the quartet of Academy representatives seeking to spread festive cheer at the base in Wirral.

Their trip was part of an ongoing partnership between the club and the hospice, which aims to enhance the quality of life for children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.

Players from the Reds' youth teams in Kirkby are regular visitors to Claire House and the youngsters staying there, in addition to volunteering at the organisation's charity shops.

On this occasion, Brannagan, Maguire, Randall and Trickett-Smith all soon found themselves involved in a FIFA tournament with Jordan, a massive Liverpool fan at the hospice.

The opportunity to meet four budding talents from the Academy - and, in almost every case, claim victory on the videogame - proved a memorable early Christmas gift for the youngster.
