Brendan Rodgers has made four changes to his starting line-up for Liverpool's final clash of 2014 against Swansea City at Anfield tonight.

Simon Mignolet is restored to the team, coming in to replace Brad Jones, just as the Belgian did after 16 minutes of play in the Reds' Boxing Day victory over Burnley at Turf Moor.

Emre Can, who played the entire second half of that game as part of a three-man defence, takes the place of Kolo Toure from the start as he slots in alongside Martin Skrtel and Mamadou Sakho.

Alberto Moreno and Javier Manquillo return to the side, replacing Lazar Markovic and Steven Gerrard, which means Jordan Henderson will captain the Reds from a more central midfield position in the 8pm kick-off.

Elsewhere, frontmen Mario Balotelli, Rickie Lambert and Fabio Borini all take their place on a strong substitutes' bench for the Barclays Premier League encounter.

Liverpool's XI: Mignolet, Can, Skrtel, Sakho, Manquillo, Moreno, Lucas, Henderson, Lallana, Coutinho, Sterling.

Substitutes: Ward, Toure, Gerrard, Markovic, Balotelli, Lambert, Borini.
