Xabi and Carra pay tribute to an #LFCicon
Former teammates and other members of the footballing world have paid special tributes to Steven Gerrard on social media following the news he will leave the club this summer.
It was announced on Friday morning the 34-year-old will bring his glittering 17-year career with Liverpool to an end at the conclusion of this season.
Millions took to social media to react to the news, with the dedicated-Gerrard hashtag - #LFCicon – the leading worldwide trend on Twitter for over an hour.
