Brendan Rodgers knows Liverpool have to convert the chances they are creating to complement their defensive solidity as the Reds prepare for a cup decider with Chelsea.

Bolton Wanderers blocked a path to the FA Cup fifth round on Saturday as a series of stops by visiting goalkeeper Adam Bogdan ensured the tie at Anfield remained goalless.

Having peppered Chelsea's goal in the opening leg of the Capital One Cup semi-final last week, Rodgers' side then clocked up 24 shots against the Championship outfit.

But Liverpool could not find a way through and, with the all-important return at Stamford Bridge tomorrow night, the manager targeted a more clinical conclusion from his team.

"Our creativity was good, it was just the final decision or pass and the final finish," the Northern Irishman told Liverpoolfc.com.

"We worked very hard and their 'keeper made a number of good saves. We just couldn't quite make the final pass.

"They didn't have a shot on target. We have played Chelsea and Bolton here at home - Chelsea had one and Bolton haven't had any on target.

"It's credit to the players how hard they are working defensively. You see they are creating opportunities to score, now we need that final bit of quality to make all the chances count."
