'Why we're excited for Australia return'
The passionate support in evidence when Liverpool visited Australia in 2013 was a huge influence in the club's decision to return as part of their pre-season tour this year, according to Billy Hogan.
Earlier this week it was announced that the Reds will play two friendly matches there in July, with a pair of fixtures scheduled for Brisbane on July 17 and Adelaide three days later.
Hogan, the club's chief commercial officer, explained the excitement for another Australian trip after the incredible reception afforded to the first team at Melbourne Cricket Ground two years ago.
Brendan Rodgers' side ran out 2-0 winners on the evening, but it was the pre-match rendition of 'You'll Never Walk Alone' by the locals that stuck firmly in the minds of the visitors.
"Two years ago in Melbourne was a terrific experience, being at the MCG in front of almost 100,000 fans was incredible," Hogan told ABC Grandstand.
"We're excited to come back and for our first trips to Brisbane and Adelaide this summer. We know that the fans are passionate in Australia and there is a terrific fanbase there.
"But to see it in person, to be at the MCG and hear 'You'll Never Walk Alone' sung by almost 100,000 people was an incredible experience. For the whole three days we were in Australia, the people were so welcoming.
"It was great, the entire club really enjoyed the experience - and obviously that is a big part of why we've come back and announced these two matches in Brisbane and Adelaide."
The opponents for Liverpool this time around will be two outfits from the A-League - Brisbane Roar and Adelaide United - with hospitality tickets for both games on sale now.
Hogan continued: "We're excited to play against both teams, it will be a lot of fun to play against some A-League teams.
"And also to play in two great stadiums - both Suncorp Stadium and the [Adelaide] Oval, which is a terrific venue. So we were really excited to put these two matches together.
"Playing for Liverpool and coming out and seeing the fans and the passion, our players are overwhelmed by it as well. They have a lot of fun coming out and playing in front of these fans.
"We look forward to these nights; it's great to play in front of our fans wherever we are. As we saw two years ago, the fanbase in Australia is just massive and the passion is incredible.
"It's a terrific place to come - the players love it, the fans are so welcoming, the facilities are fantastic and the teams that we play against are great too."
The Reds' annual pre-season tour provides supporters across the globe with an opportunity to see their heroes up close and interact with the team that they follow.
Those who cannot make a trip to Anfield can instead watch the first team in action in their own part of the world, which has forged lasting memories in previous years.
"Anfield is an incredible stadium and certainly on the bucket list in terms of sporting venues that are worth visiting in your lifetime," said Hogan.
"But we know that not everybody is going to get the chance to get to Anfield. The tour is something unique, the opportunity to take the first team out around the world - having done it now for the past several years, it's an incredible experience having the chance to see the team interact with the fans.
"Knowing how passionate our fanbase is, the opportunity to bring the team out is really a special treat for everybody at the club as well as for the fans."
