Daniel: No doubting our cup credentials
Daniel Sturridge holds no doubts that Liverpool have the quality to maintain their trophy ambitions in two competitions during the next five days.
A trip to Crystal Palace is on the agenda this evening, with an FA Cup fifth round tie set to take place at Selhurst Park for a berth in the last eight.
Following that is the first leg of the Reds' Europa League contest with Turkish contenders Besiktas, scheduled under the Anfield floodlights next Thursday.
Fresh from his return to full fitness and a start against Tottenham Hotspur, the prolific Sturridge is relishing the components of these knockout tournaments.
"With cup football anything can happen," the Liverpool No.15 said in a recent interview as part of his role as a BT Sport ambassador.
"The Palace game away will be difficult. But we're looking forward to it. It's a big competition for everyone to want to win, with Chelsea and [Manchester] City out of it.
"But there's still Arsenal, [Manchester] United and it's cup football, it's one game so anyone can progress. I wouldn't like to disregard anyone.
"The Europa League is a great opportunity for us to go out there and stake a claim for that. We play some great football and I believe in the philosophy the manager has.
"Everyone else does and we know on any day if we play the football we can, we are unstoppable. We have no doubts about what we can do."
