Liverpool Football Club can today confirm that Academy defender Lloyd Jones has joined League Two outfit Accrington Stanley on a 28-day youth loan deal.

Jones, who arrived from Plymouth four years ago, is a cultured defender, whose progress earned him a place on the substitutes' bench for the senior side's trip to Fulham in May 2013.

Earlier this year, Jones joined Cheltenham Town on loan along with Liverpool teammates Kevin Stewart and Jack Dunn, and the 19-year-old racked up six appearances for the Whaddon Road club.

The youngster will now spend a month at Accrington under the tutelage of Liverpool-born boss John Coleman, whose side currently occupy 15th place in the standings.
