Ladies held in final friendly clash
Liverpool Ladies' final pre-season friendly ahead of the new campaign saw Matt Beard's side draw 1-1 with Doncaster Rovers Belles on Saturday evening.
Both teams created opportunities to break the deadlock in the first half at the Select Security Stadium, but neither could find their finishing touch.
That changed after the interval when Gemma Bonner put the Reds in front.
Fara Williams' delivery from a corner caused a scramble inside Doncaster territory and Bonner was in the right place to hit the target for the Ladies.
However, a late strike by Kasia Lipka levelled the score for the visitors and that's how it stayed until the final whistle in Widnes.
