Pele set to attend Reds v United clash
Anfield will play host to a special visitor when Liverpool take on Manchester United on Sunday, with Brazilian legend Pele set to attend the game as a guest of SUBWAY, the club’s official training food partner.
The three-time World Cup winner will be attendance as the Reds look to bolster their top-four prospects with a victory over Louis van Gaal's side.
Pele, who is a global ambassador of SUBWAY, will also be honoured on the pitch at half-time during the game.
The 74-year-old is a hero of Liverpool striker, Daniel Sturridge, and the pair appeared in a commercial together for the restaurant last summer.
Ahead of Pele's visit to Anfield, the former Santos forward will be attending various media activities in London on Friday along with Robbie Fowler and Steve McManaman to celebrate both the significance of the match and the importance of proper training and nutrition with SUBWAY and Liverpool.
Stay tuned to @LFC and @SUBWAYUKIreland for more details of Pele's visit and an exciting competition.
