Key facts and figures ahead of United clash

Last season Liverpool beat United 1-0 at Anfield. The only goal came as early as the fourth minute with Daniel Sturridge diverting Daniel Agger's header beyond David de Gea.

Mario Balotelli scored twice against United in Manchester City's 6-1 win at Old Trafford in October 2011. He has yet to score for Liverpool before the 82nd minute of a game.
