Henderson is among five contenders for the prize along with Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane, Chelsea's Eden Hazard, Manchester United's Marouane Fellaini and Arsenal's Olivier Giroud.
The England international enjoyed a hugely influential month in the Reds' midfield, netting vital strikes against Manchester City, Burnley and Swansea City.
