Sunday's All-Star charity match at Anfield has received further support for its causes from Red Touch Media in the form of sponsorship of the shirts worn by each elite team and a donation of tickets.

Sides captained and selected by Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher - and featuring the likes of Xabi Alonso, Thierry Henry, Pepe Reina and Luis Suarez - will lock horns in a fixture organised by the Liverpool FC Foundation.

While the game itself will be hugely competitive, also involving Reds players not on international duty, the event was created with the intention of raising money for the club's official charity and a number of local organisations helping those in need.

Tickets selling out in double-quick time typified the support for such initiatives from fans and now generous additional gestures have been provided by Red Touch Media, which has headquarters in Salt Lake City and several satellite offices, including Liverpool.

As well as sponsoring the jerseys worn by the illustrious stars on show this weekend, the company is donating 50 tickets for the afternoon clash at Anfield to the Children's Cancer Support Group based at Alder Hey.

Red Touch Media CEO, Wayne Scholes, said: "I'm a fan, that's the main reason we want to support the team in its efforts to raise funds for Alder Hey and the Liverpool FC Foundation. I want to support them.

"If the opportunity is there to do some good in Liverpool, I think that's a goal we can all help with in whatever way we find presented before us, big or small. Every effort can make a difference in someone's life.

"Given the opportunity to follow the example of Steven Gerrard and his years of exemplary service to the city is a privilege, so being involved with this game is extra special.

"Just looking at the exceptional players taking part should tell you all you need to know about how great this game will be. I'm proud to be able to be a part of this match, as a Liverpool fan and as a business who chooses to be in Liverpool."
