The closing date to obtain tickets for the 26th Hillsborough Memorial Service at Anfield on Wednesday April 15 has now passed.

The club requests that those with tickets arrive early as the service will commence promptly at 2.45pm. Access to the stadium will be possible from 1pm.

A one-minute silence will be observed at 3.06pm and the service will conclude at around 3.45pm with the singing of 'You'll Never Walk Alone'.

Margaret Aspinall, chair of the Hillsborough Family Support Group, said: "Every day we continue to remember those who lost their lives. During this 26th anniversary service we will turn on a light for each and every life that was extinguished prematurely and the eternal flame of the Hillsborough Memorial will continue to light our way through the darkest days.

"For many, April 15 may be a working day and there will be those who are unable to attend. We invite you to join us in thought and spirit and keep us in your prayers at this difficult time."

The service will be screened live and free on LFCTV and LFCTV GO for those who are unable to attend in person.

Please note that no prams or pushchairs will be allowed into the stadium under any circumstances. The club asks you to please keep this in mind if you are bringing young children to the service.
