Fabio: Only half the job has been done
Fabio Borini has warned that Liverpool's work is by no means done in the FA Cup despite sealing a semi-final spot at Wembley by beating Blackburn Rovers this week.
A nicely-worked Philippe Coutinho strike and a resolute defensive display guided Brendan Rodgers' team beyond the Championship side in their replay on Wednesday.
Aston Villa now await the Reds in the competition's final four, at the national stadium next Sunday, and the prospect of silverware is more sharply in focus.
But though Borini is optimistic of lifting the coveted old trophy in May, the Italian insisted that there is plenty of hard graft still ahead to make such dreams reality.
He told Liverpoolfc.com: "It's a great achievement but it's only half of the job done, because we need to win the semi-final and go to the final - which is one of the main objectives that we're trying to achieve.
"They [Villa] have quick players. A big pitch like Wembley, with a lot of motivation, creates a stage to play on. It's always difficult.
"But we have a chance - we are in the semi-final and there are only four teams left - so of course I think we can win the FA Cup."
