Jordan: Kit reflects passion of the fans
Jordan Henderson delivered his seal of approval for Liverpool's new 2015-16 home kit after the redesigned strip was officially unveiled at Anfield on Friday afternoon.
Featuring a chequerboard pattern, the shirt, shorts and socks for next season take inspiration from the red and white colours created by supporters on the Kop during games.
More than 1,000 fans were at the stadium to enjoy the very first glimpse of the New Balance kit, which is now available to pre-order online and at official club stores.
Reds quartet Simon Mignolet, Martin Skrtel, Raheem Sterling and Daniel Sturridge proudly stepped out in the strip at a special event which was streamed live to the world.
Henderson assessed the kit closely ahead of the reveal and explained why the combination of style and functionality makes the new offering a winner with the players.
The vice-captain commented: "Our fans create a great atmosphere at Anfield, and it is great to have a kit that reflects the red and white mosaic made when the fans on the Kop hold their flags and scarves aloft.
"The kit feels great and I'm pleased the New Balance team considered what the players need from a kit when it was designed. The material is very comfortable and the players are delighted with the result."
