Anfield observed an impeccable minute's silence in memory of the 96 supporters who died at Hillsborough before Monday night's match against Newcastle United.
Wednesday marks the 26th anniversary of the tragedy that occurred during the FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest at Sheffield Wednesday's stadium.
As the Reds faced Newcastle, both sides wore black armbands to pay their respects to the men, women and children who will never be forgotten.
