Jordan Henderson expects Liverpool's 2015 Players' Awards to be another 'brilliant' occasion and give fans the chance to provide departing captain Steven Gerrard with a special send-off.

The prestigious event will be held at the Echo Arena on Tuesday May 19 to recognise and celebrate the efforts and achievements of current stars, former Reds, supporters and staff members.

A variety of individual honours will be presented on the night, and Kopites can have their say on the winner in four categories - including Player of the Year - by clicking here to vote online.

With Gerrard set to bid farewell to Anfield at the end of this season after 17 glory-laden years with the club, the Players' Awards will also feature a special tribute to the incomparable midfielder.

Fans can be at the ceremony to show their appreciation for the No.8 and his colleagues too, with a range of ticket packages available to purchase now. Click here for further information.

Henderson told Liverpoolfc.com: "It will be fantastic. The fans are a big part of this football club, the support we get home and away every single week is amazing.

"So to have them in the arena with us will be a great atmosphere, especially for the people who win awards, because the fans will be voting so for them to win it in front of them will be a little bit special.

"It will have a special feeling. Hopefully we can finish the season strongly and hopefully we'll still be in the FA Cup. I hope it has a special feeling.

"And, of course, the big one is that it gives Stevie the send-off he deserves in that sort of environment, especially for the fans. That will be really special so I'm looking forward to it.

"Hopefully we can recreate the atmosphere that we do at Anfield, especially for the people that are getting awards and for Stevie as well."

Brendan Rodgers and the first-team squad will be joined in attending the awards next month by the talented youngsters from the Academy and the Liverpool Ladies.

With accolades set to be presented to stand-out performers from those sides as well, Henderson feels the event is an example of the togetherness instilled throughout the club.

"It's vital because it just shows what's going on that people might not see," added the Reds' vice-captain.

"We're one big family, so for people to be getting recognition at younger ages and also the Ladies, is brilliant for everyone. For the whole club, it's really important and it will be a brilliant night."
