Further details of Liverpool FC's prestigious 2015 Players' Awards ceremony, to take place at the Echo Arena on Tuesday May 19, have today been released.

The event celebrates the first team, Ladies and Academy players as well as former stars and supporters - and has now been opened up for fans to attend.

With Steven Gerrard set to depart Anfield at the end of this season, the occasion will also feature a special tribute to the talismanic captain and club icon.

TV and radio presenter Colin Murray and LFCTV's Claire Rourke will host the awards, which will offer more than 5,000 Kopites the chance to celebrate the Reds and bid a fitting farewell to the No.8.

Accolades to be awarded at the event include Player of the Year honours, Young Player of the Year, Goal of the Year, Performance of the Year and many more.

Supporters can vote in a number of categories, with polls for Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year open now. Click here to have your say.

Brendan Rodgers said: "The awards night gives us a unique opportunity to bring the whole Liverpool family together - the players, management, staff and most importantly supporters.

"It allows us to reflect on the season and enjoy some of the great memories we have shared, as well as recognise the important contributions made.

"This year will be particularly pertinent as it will also give us a chance to recognise the many achievements of Steven Gerrard, our departing captain.

"Steven's contribution to this great club is unrivalled and it will be great to share in those special memories on the evening."

The Players' Awards will also be raising funds for the Liverpool FC Foundation, offering fans the chance to win a money-can't-buy prize; more information on this will follow.

General admission tickets start at £28 plus booking and handling fee, while VIP table packages are also available. Click here for details on ordering tickets now.
