Steven Gerrard could play his 500th top-flight game in a red shirt when Liverpool face West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns on Saturday. Here are all of the key facts and figures on the showdown from club statto Ged Rea.

If the No.8 features then he will become only the third player in history to play 500 league games for the club - the others being Ian Callaghan (640) and Jamie Carragher (508).

The Reds captain's next goal will see him move into outright fifth place on the club's all-time goalscorers list, overtaking Robbie Fowler's tally of 183.

Earlier this season, Liverpool beat the Baggies 2-1 at Anfield. Adam Lallana scored his first goal for the club on the stroke of half-time before Saido Berahino equalised with a penalty on 56 minutes. Jordan Henderson won it for the Reds five minutes later.

Last season at the Hawthorns the sides drew 1-1, with Daniel Sturridge's 24th-minute opener being cancelled out by Victor Anichebe midway through the second period. It is the only Premier League draw between the teams.

The Reds have an excellent record at the Hawthorns, however, winning nine of the last 12 fixtures, scoring 29 and conceding eight. 26 of those goals have come in the last 10 visits.

The last time the teams played out a goalless draw at the Hawthorns was in November 1968.

The 6-0 victory on this ground in April 2003 is Liverpool's biggest ever league win over Albion.

Brendan Rodgers took charge of the Reds for the first time in a league fixture on this ground on the first day of the 2012-13 season. Today will be his 150th match in charge in all competitions.

Of the 18 players selected for his first league game in charge in August 2012, only Gerrard, Martin Skrtel, Glen Johnson, Lucas Leiva, Joe Allen, Fabio Borini, Brad Jones and Henderson are still at the club.

Dejan Lovren played his first game in English football on this ground last season for Southampton - Saints won 1-0 with a 90th-minute penalty from Rickie Lambert.

Philippe Coutinho made his Liverpool debut against the Baggies in February 2013.

The Baggies ended a run of three successive defeats last weekend when Tony Pulis' side won 2-0 at his former club, Crystal Palace - James Morrison and Craig Gardner scored the goals.

They now go into this game eight points above the relegation zone in 13th place.

West Brom have lost their last two home games, both against teams below them. They were beaten 4-1 by Queens Park Rangers and then 3-2 by Leicester City.

Andre Wisdom, who cannot play against his parent club today, has played only 19 minutes of the last 12 games (all as a substitute a week ago). He has been on the bench for the other 11.

Berahino is West Brom's only ever-present this season. He has featured in all 40 games in league and cup, including 33 starts. He has 18 goals (12 in the league).

Pulis has won three of his 11 league clashes with Liverpool as a manager but has only lost twice, conceding 11 goals in those 11 games.
