Martin Skrtel insists Liverpool are not ready to give up on their hopes of securing Champions League qualification and declared: 'We will fight for every single point.'

The Reds go into this evening's Barclays Premier League clash with Hull City at the KC Stadium aiming to narrow the gap on fourth-place Manchester United to four points.

Skrtel is well aware it'll be no easy feat against a Tigers side determined to edge away from the relegation zone, but stressed the importance of a victory to Brendan Rodgers' charges heading into the final stage of 2014-15.

"We have five more games to play and we are ready to fight for every single point," he told his official website.

"We play against Hull City and we need to win this game in order to keep our chances of reaching Champions League alive.

"It will not be easy because they are trying to avoid relegation and we must win this game. But I think we have the quality and we are ready to show it on the pitch."
