Brendan Rodgers insists that his players are lacking nothing in terms of commitment and attitude, and expects them to continue in that manner for the remaining four matches of the season.

Liverpool have struggled in their past three games, losing to Aston Villa in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley before drawing with West Bromwich Albion and suffering defeat at Hull City.

Next up is the visit of Queens Park Rangers to Anfield on Saturday afternoon and as he previewed that contest, the manager stressed why a determined mentality must remain until the campaign ends.

Rodgers said at Melwood: "I must stress that the players, like in the game the other night, are giving absolutely everything. It's not a team that's lacking commitment and attitude.

"You saw from the game the other night they're giving everything in the game, we probably just lacked that bit of belief and confidence in and around vital areas of the field, which in the past the team has shown itself to be very strong in.

"But that's something that's natural. But make no mistake about it - the players will give everything right to the very end. Our season doesn't finish until the final whistle at Stoke.

"I've always said that and I reiterate that. This is a team that will fight right to the very end and now the next game is very, very important for us."

As 2014-15's conclusion draws ever closer, QPR are locked in a battle to avoid relegation from the Barclays Premier League.

Chris Ramsey's team have everything to play for in their journey north therefore, though Rodgers reiterated his side's desire to produce a performance.

The Northern Irishman said: "It'll be a very, very tough game for us. Chris has gone in there and they're very well organised, they're all working hard, you see in a lot of their recent games they press the ball very high up the field, very much as a unit.

"Young Charlie [Austin] up front with Bobby Zamora, they're a real handful - you've seen it in their recent games. Their last game was tough for them but they still make it very, very difficult whether it's home or away.

"So we totally respect them and their fight, but obviously we focus on ourselves, knowing that we're fighting as well to finish as high as we can."
